Jeff Hartley is a distinguished government relations consultant, boasting an impressive career spanning nearly three decades. As President, Jeff has helped grow Smith Bryan & Myers to become one of the most respected firms in Tallahassee.
With a reputation for representing an extensive range of clients, Jeff has consistently demonstrated his ability to champion their interests effectively. He has coordinated with advocacy groups and built strategic coalitions, working effectively as a liaison between clients and House and Senate leadership, the Governor’s office, and the Cabinet.
Jeff’s diverse portfolio of issues ranges from regulated industries, workers’ compensation, and education to health care, local government, automotive industry, and corrections. Jeff also has extensive experience with the appropriations process, having secured hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of the firm’s clients. As one of the state’s most prolific political fundraisers, he is responsible for coordinating the firm’s multi-million dollar fundraising efforts. His experience and expertise further includes grassroots coordination and strategy, agency procurement and executive appointments.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Political Communications from Florida State University. He serves on the Board of Directors for Ameris Bank, as well as the Ronald McDonald House. Originally from Tampa, Jeff lives in Tallahassee with his wife, Sonya, and daughter, Emma who currently attends the University of Tennessee.
